WesAudio - Mimas NG500 500 Series Analog Compressor with Digital Recall

1176-Style Analog Compressor with Digital Recall (500-Series / ng500 Compatible)

Product Description

The WesAudio MIMAS combines the legendary tone and punch of a classic 1176-style FET compressor with modern digital control and recall. Designed for the 500-series format and compatible with WesAudio’s ng500 ecosystem, MIMAS offers the rich, responsive analog compression that engineers love — now enhanced with plugin automation and DAW integration.

Whether used for tracking vocals, drums, guitars, or bus processing, MIMAS delivers the warmth, aggression, and musicality of vintage analog hardware while providing instant recall and total precision through your DAW.

Key Features

• True Analog Signal Path – Fully balanced input/output design with premium components for exceptional sonic integrity and +24 dBu headroom.

• Classic FET Compression Architecture – Selectable ratios (4:1, 8:1, 12:1, 20:1) and the iconic “All Buttons In” mode for classic punch and energy.

• Analog Saturation Mode – Add harmonically rich color and drive without heavy compression.

• Side-Chain High-Pass Filter – Choose between 60 Hz, 90 Hz, or 150 Hz to prevent low-end buildup from triggering compression.

• Full Digital Control – Four touch-sensitive encoders with real-time automation and bi-directional communication with your DAW via USB or ng500 rack.

• Plugin Integration – Control, automate, and recall all parameters within your DAW (VST3, AU, AAX).

• A/B Setting Switch & True Bypass – Instantly compare different settings and maintain signal integrity when bypassed.

• 500-Series & ng500 Compatibility – Operates in standard 500-series racks or in WesAudio’s ng500 “TITAN” frame for networked multi-module control.

• Exceptional Build Quality – Rugged design, high-grade components, and precision controls for professional studio reliability.
