One of the DM5’s standout innovations is Yamaha’s dynamic glass-key interface. These tactile controls can change their displayed labels depending on the current mixer state, providing quick access to relevant functions while keeping the surface clean and uncluttered.

Two additional 4.3-inch touchscreens can be customized for User Defined Keys and other functions, giving engineers the flexibility to build a control surface around their own workflow.

For creative processing, the DM5 includes a 16-slot effects rack loaded with 43 high-quality effects, giving engineers access to reverbs, multiple delay types, and other essential production tools directly inside the console.

Need more processing? The integrated PY expansion slot allows the DM5 system to grow with your requirements. Yamaha’s optional PY-DSP card, for example, can add substantial additional processing resources for Premium effects.

Built-in Dugan Automixing

The Yamaha DM5 includes 12 channels of Dugan automixing as standard, helping manage gain distribution across multiple microphones and reducing the amount of constant manual fader adjustment required during speech-heavy productions.

Optional licensing can expand Dugan automixing capability even further for larger productions.
